Stephen and I decided that we should take Grace to the temple for Family Home Evening. She hasn't been with us since she was a baby for a ward activity, but she can recognize it from pictures, and she loves to sing 'I Love to See the Temple'. The other day, Stephen went to the temple with a friend from church, and I stayed home with Grace. As he was leaving with his temple bag, he gave Grace a kiss and asked, "Grace, do you know where I'm going?". She quickly responded, "Yeah...temple".
So, we made plans to take her to the temple grounds for FHE so she too could partake of the Spirit and the joy the temple has to offer!
There was a lot of smelling the beautiful flowers.
There was TONS of running.
There was a lot of exploring, and inspecting new bugs.
There was also lots of love.
Lots of sharing what our favorite things about the temple were.
There was also lots of hugging....or in Grace's case...strangling Mommy.
And Grace LOVED pointing to the Angel "Mreen-i" (Moroni).
We also went in to the waiting room of the temple, and showed her some of the artwork there.
We also read a little board book they have about Jesus.
Then, we walked around the temple once more. As I was regretting the fact that we couldn't get a family shot in front of the temple, a good friend of mine showed up. Moments before, I was wishing that she (specifically) was there, because she is also a photographer and can work my monstrous camera!
I am so happy that she showed up at that exact moment.
Because if not...I wouldn't have THESE pictures:
And I treasure them.

Totally random but I adore that little dress she's wearing.
