You know...at the first of this pregnancy, I was really gung-ho about taking pictures to chart my belly growth. I mean, let's be honest...life is only going to be more crazy when I'm pregnant WITH a kid. Obviously, life has taken control of me, and I haven't been that great at documenting the pregnancy.
I'm 26 weeks now, so I have about 3 months left. Its still crazy to me to think that in 3 months I will have a baby...I'll be a MOM for the eternities! THAT is an overwhelming thought!
Well, before I get into pregnancy pictures, i'll give a little recap of what's been going on in my life. I got to go shopping with my 'beebs'! After a little mix up with WHICH mall we were going to, we eventually got together and had a great time. Suprisingly enough...I don't think I even bought one thing for MY baby girl, but I did buy some things for my nieces birthdays. Also, I was very disappointed in Old Navy's selection of maternity clothes. Literally one rack. I swear the Old Navy (in the old mall, that is now nonexistent, I've learned) had a whole FLOOR of maternity and baby things!
Yes, this is Mary, AKA Beebs....and she is seriously cute.
We also have been blessed by one of our friends (who is a wood worker/carpenter) offer to make our baby's crib! He's been working on it for a while, and is going to stain it to match all of our molding (more of a dark cherry stain). He even carved a design into the bars, which are the same flower design on the chairs in the temple. I just think that's pretty awesome that my girl is going to be surrounded by those flowers that remind me of the temple. I can't wait to get it set up in the nursery...I think it will make it all feel more real. I'm so grateful for his willingness to build it and all the research he's put into it to make sure everything is 'up to code' and safe for a little one.And now to the pictures of my belly progression...Please excuse my...uh...lovely hairdo from pioneer day....and my tired face...and my pj's...and the yucky yellow glow of these pictures (these pics gave me more incentive to have my room painted from that awful 'neutral' tan/yellow). I just knew that I needed to take a picture before I forgot.
Also, for your warning, I took some of my bare belly...because I know that stretch marks will come soon, and I wanted to remember what my stomach looked like before it was mauled by a tiger. So, if you don't want to see my bare stomach...skip the rest of this post.
There, you can't say I didn't warn you.
I took this next picture myself....obviously. I just wanted to document how my belly button is so stretched out, and is starting to poke out. Well, I didn't really document that so well, but I did document the hugeness of my stomach. I took this picture, and then was like, 'Dang! does it REALLY look like this??'. I know, I know....i'm only 6 months...its only going to get worse.
