When Grace was a baby, she was FASCINATED with her belly button. She would constantly have at least one finger in it at all times. Especially when she was tired, she just creep those hands to her belly button and then go to sleep. I didn't really mind it. It was cute, and the worse thing that would happen would be that her belly button would get a little red or irritated because she was always poking her finger in it.
She grew out of it, mostly, and now she usually only reverts back to it when she's really tired and trying to go to sleep.
But, unfortunately, she's found another 'hole' to occupy her time. This girl CANNOT keep her finger out of her nose. It is ridiculous. I know that it is probably normal for a two year old to be really interested in her nose, but it drives me insane!
The other day, this girl took it to a whole new level. We were eating lunch, and I left the room to get something. When I came back Grace was showing me how she was putting her chicken nugget on her nose. ON being the operative word.
Then, Grace sneezed.
and a piece of chicken nugget flew out of her nose!
Gross.
I begin to have a 'discussion' with her about how we don't put things in our noses. (the one we have EVERY DAY when her finger is up there non stop!)
Then, she sneezes. AGAIN.
and another piece of chicken nugget flies out.
Ridiculous.
I really thought that I'd have this problem when I had a little boy on my hands. I can't leave Grace alone with anything that can be torn into little pieces. I've also made the mistake of giving her a tissue in the car when she had a runny nose. When we got home, I realized that she had shredded the tissue, and rolled up little balls and stuck them up her nose. Luckily, there weren't too many where I couldn't just get them out.
Today, we were playing Polly Pockets and she found something else to stick up her nose. The new version of Polly's have removable and interchangable heads. Well, Grace thoroughly loves removing the heads. Which is convenient, because the little knob on the end of the neck is the perfect size to stick up her nose. I looked over to Grace today, and it looked like a polly pocket was stuck up her nose. (which is really hard to talk to her seriously, when there is literally a body hanging out of her nose! haha)
I really hope this phase passes too. This one is NOT as cute as the belly button fascination!

That is too funny - I remember when my cousin got a pepperoni stuck up his nose. I think they had to go to the doctor. But I'm sure polly pocket won't take it that far...
BA HA!!! I only laugh because it's not my kid...and honestly, it's kinda funny! "This too shall pass" :)
