Ugh.

For me: It started with a sore throat.

For her: It started with a cough.

Then a fever.

Then snot. LOTS of it.

and a whole lot of crankiness.

Which resulted in this:

Ibuprofen, 3 boxes of tissues used in 3 days, and LOTS of Sesame Street.

Then this happened when I was making lunch, courtesy of Grace.

Which was when I tried this:

But it didn't work...she got through, so I literally ran over to my neighbors to ask her to watch Grace while I cleaned up the glass everywhere.

So, we've been combating the plague at our house. I think whatever it was is on its way out, but now after going to the doctors today we have a combined total of  7 medications that we are taking to beat this thing.

Grace has a double ear infection and whatever it was has made her start wheezing, so we are now the (not-so) proud owners of a nebulizer. Little girl has to do 3 treatments a day.

I also have fluid in both my ears and a sinus infection.

Even WITH Publix and their free children's antibiotics, we are still down $100 bucks today.
And we have to see this pitiful scene.

It breaks my mommy heart.

BUT, there IS a silver lining.
I have the best husband in the entire world. He has had to be the 'Mr. Mom' the past couple of days, and he has stepped up to the challenge wonderfully. He took not one, but TWO sick days to take care of us.
He did all the dishes, he cleaned the house, he made us meals and made sure we were hydrated. He put Grace AND me down for naps.  He took us to the doctor (and thank goodness he did, since we had to use the nebulizer...I don't know how I would have wrestled her myself).
He did laundry, changed diapers, even took notes on when we were last medicated, so he knew when to give us our next dose.

He really is the biggest blessing in my life.
I hope I can repay him...but I really hope I don't have to repay him by serving him when/if he's sick with this next week!

Oh man. I can relate a bit. We could have never done the nebulizer without both of us and a great TV show. Husband are so wonderful, aren't they?

A good husband - the best blessing when you're sick - we spent nearly $100 on our little bug last week too - and although Rob did go to work (b/c i wasn't one of the ones quarantined), he did skip every after work activity until bedtime to help me too. She looks pitiful with that nebulizer. :(
