Before Grace VS After Grace

I knew a lot of things would change once I had a baby, but some of the changes make me laugh daily.

Here are just a few:

BG: Talking about bodily functions was rude. You just didn't do it.
AG: I talk about poop/ deal with poop/ am up to my elbows in poop MANY times a day!

BG: I'd be showered, dressed and have makeup on by 8am.
AG: I'm lucky to have a shower a day. PERIOD.

BG: I LOVED my perfume. 'Body' by Victoria.
AG: I now wear 'Ode de Spitup' 24-7

BG: I was a little of a night owl. I loved to stay up and watch movies, go to dinner, etc.
AG: It's unusual for you to see my eyelids open past 10 or 11.

BG: I took random shopping trips, grocery trips, misc errands whenever I wanted.
AG: I plan every outing with Grace according to the last time she ate.

BG: Stephen and I would eat dinner together.
AG: We eat in shifts...while the 'person on duty' takes care of Grace.

BG: I loved naps.
AG: Well, not much has changed. I still love naps...but now I love Grace's naps. I can accomplish so much during this time!

BG: All these things would seem like a 'con list' for having a baby.
AG: I wouldn't trade my life as a mother for anything in the world. Being a mom is hard work. It really is. But I absolutely love it. There are too many amazing moments to get caught up on the not so great moments.

I can't see your entry or post a comment. Did you break something?

And your BG and AG just added one more reason for the amazing opportunity for me to be a mother to you. Love you. MOM
