Blessing day

About a month after our sweet Grace came into our lives, she was blessed by her daddy. I knew this was going to be a special day, but I don't think anyone could have prepared me for the strong spirit that was felt by all as Grace was blessed. She is a lucky girl, and was completely surrounded by ALL of the priesthood in her family. My father, Stephen's father, and all 6 of her uncles (yes, Uncle Brent included). My mom pointed out how special it is that all of her family were close enough to be there, and were such worthy priesthood holders to assist in this special blessing.

(I think we doubled our ward numbers for the day!)
As Stephen began to bless Grace, my heart was just so full of joy and thanks. He gave her the most amazing blessing. What really stuck out to me was how he blessed her to really KNOW her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was blessed to understand His love for her, and that because of that love, we were given the gift of the Atonement. I also was touched that she was blessed to take notice of the grand examples of women around her: her grandmothers, her aunts, cousins, and me. I know that I've been blessed to have these women in my life, and I'm glad that my daughter is also blessed to have such great examples in her life.
I feel so blessed that all of my family was there to support us on this special day. I know that our Father in Heaven has great plans for this special daughter, and I'm blessed to be a part of her life. I hope that I can live up to the blessing that she has already been in my life, and help her achieve all that she can throughout her life.

All the men in her circle...and incidentally, all the men who will be wielding crowbars in about 16 yrs.

Us and my parents.

Naomi, I can feel the spirit from that day just by reading about it. That's so special! I love Grace's yawning pics. She's just precious! She's so lucky to have a photographer as her mommy.
