Smart Husband

I'm working on getting a 'house' post up, but until then, I just had to write this little 'packing' story before I forgot.

Well, the week before our closing, Stephen and I had been packing like crazy (of course). This night, I was just not feeling so great, thanks to the startings of my last parting gift from my apartment...another sinus infection.

Stephen and I would pack them up, he would move them to the stack, and I would tape it up and label it. First, I should probably explain that Stephen does this thing, where whatever I say, he'll retort, YOU'RE ______(fill in the blank)
for example: I'll be doing laundry and say, "these are clean"
and he'll say, "YOU'RE clean"....etc...yes...i get this each and every day in its many capacities.

Ok, back to my story...

I started to organize the boxes, and I came to one that was HUGE and i couldn't move it.

I said, "Stephen, this box is too heavy, will you move it for me?"

He smirks and says, " YOU'RE...... *insert awkward silence here* wanting me to move that big box..."

I gave him a sideways glance (to see if he was going to try to get by with that one) and then I just couldn't keep it in anymore. I just burst out laughing and could NOT stop!

What a smart husband to quickly amend his response to that. It certainly did ease the stress that night, and I couldn't help but feel a little better after laughing that much.

How blessed I am to have such a great husband who makes me laugh (whether or not it is intentional sometimes).
