The Search is OVER!!

As some of you know...and other's may not, we've been looking for a house for about 8months. yes...EIGHT MONTHS! Its felt like an eternity, and we've seen a LOT of houses. And by a LOT, Stephen and I did a little mental calculation and we came up with over 40, not to mention those we've forgotten (or mentally blocked from our memory) Yes, we know, our real estate agent is a ANGEL!

BUT, with that said, we've found OUR house!!

I thought it might be a little fun to look through some of the worsts of the 'adventure'.

We've seen a plethora of ugly tile work (in every shade imaginable...and some i'd rather NOT even imagine). THAT in addition to some very ugly countertops, equals some of the houses we've seen...

Oh, and add in a lot of cracked/busted/unfinished work...

and some foreclosed homes... (need i say more?)

I have NEVER seen so much ugly wallpaper and horrible pain jobs...

(and in case you were wondering, YES, that is lion and leopard wallpaper trim and fuschia paint)

And how could we forget THIS house? (I don't even remember a whole lot about the house we were actually looking at, but I DO remember these neighbors! and the fact that they SHARED a drive way!)

(click to experience the greatness of the life-sized girafe and zebra.)

But, let's not dwell on that....lets get to the good stuff...the WINNER!
"This is OUR house! This is OUR time!!"
(sorry, Pysch reference just popped in there...)

OMG. I feel your pain...especially on the foreclosures - aren't they horrendous? And sad, too. So glad you found your house - it's beautiful! Congrats!
