This was the year that my parents had a time share at the beach. I have been looking forward to this for SOOOO long! I absolutely love the beach and don't get to go as much as I like (well, I go visit family at the beach...but not the actual beach!)
I was able to go the beach a month or so ago with my mom for a day and Grace absolutely loved it.
Actually, she loved it a little too much. She has absolutely no fear when it comes to the waves, and would run and try to dive into the ocean.
Silly me thought, oh great, she is going to LOVE being there for a whole week!
Well, I was wrong.
The first three days pretty much consisted of THIS:
ALL.DAY.LONG.
I'd try to get her to play in the sand. She would scream and cling to me.
I would take her to the ocean to feel the waves.
Tears and thrashing.
I was so frustrated, because it was just so unlike her, and the last time she LOVED it!
Well, finally about 3 days into the trip, I think I just figured out that I had to make her sleep before we went to the beach, and she was in a MUCH better mood. Of course, by the end of our trip, she was back to her normal self and loving the beach and pool.
I guess she just missed her daddy (he came Wednesday night).
So, instead of explaining all the fun that we had....I'll just show you a bazillion pictures.
That's more my style anyway, right?

And I love all the toddler expressions from the beach - kids at the beach are fun, but one day, I'm going to lie on the beach again without counting and chasing too. :)
